Working with Children

Working together with the Ministry of Social Development, the High Wire Charitable Trust (HWCT) is a Level 2 (highest) certified provider for both day and residential programmes for the Ministry of Vulnerable Children Oranga Tamariki (previously Child, Youth and Family) – to conduct training for “at risk” youth. We also hold contracts with the Ministry of Education (MOE) for Alternative Education as a certified provider based in the Counties Manukau district and Hamilton CBD areas for disengaged secondary school youth. The HWCT Alternative Education Department is now conducting education-based programmes for Primary and Intermediate aged children, a new initiative that we hope to continue in the future.
